New season, new look
Köln CC has started the new season in style in their new red and blue playing kit, securing two resounding victories in the DCB Regionalliga West
After a successful pre-season, Köln CC thumped Altendorf Blue Tigers in Düsseldorf in their first league game of the season on April 17
Sent in to bat, the Tigers made just 45 runs after Jimit Patel took 4 wickets for Köln and the rest of the bowling unit performed well.
Despite the guests losing captain Rishi Pillai and three other wickets in the run chase, victory was never in doubt for the 2015 Bundesliga West champions.
In the team’s second match of the season on April 29, Köln’s bowling performance was again strong as the team dismissed Bonn Zalmi for 66. The total was passed inside of 15 overs for the loss of three wickets.
The team’s next game is on May 13 versus CICC at Chorweiler, as they look to continue their perfect start to the 2017 season in the Regionalliga West.
